I am sooooooooooo HAPPY

Hello to my weight warrior friends,
I am a very happy person today.
One week ago yesterday I started my new eating habits.
Today after coming back from the Dr.'s office I have lost a total of 5 wonderful pounds.
I have started another week of watching what I eat and I ask that you please pray for me that I will seek God's help as I go from day to day and hour by hour.
I did not measure myself like some of you have done I have just started watching what I am eating and drinking about 64 ounces of water a day.
Now I know that this is water weight that I am loosing at this time but still it is a 5 pound bag of surgar that I have lost. :} :}
Love to all and I will blog again tomorrow about how I did today.

First Week of Diet

Well, this is the beginning of the second week of my diet.
Should I say instead "OF EATING RIGHT."
I did pretty good last week. Of course I don't know how many pounds I have lost yet.
I will not get to weigh today as we are in revival at church and I just don't want to go out and do that after a Week-end. Not because I did not eat what I should have eaten but because Sunday's are such tiring day for us.
I go to the Doctor's office and weigh, that way I know I have the correct weight.
This morning for breakfast I had a poached egg, 1 piece of toast with very little butter, a glass of skim milk and 2 pieces of cantaloupe. The cantaloupe was wonderful. So juicy and sweet. Drank 2 glasses of water.
I am getting ready to go and drink 2 more glasses of water then have a salad with tuna in it for lunch and 2 more pieces of cantaloupe.
Not sure yet what I will have for dinner but this must be done by 5 if at all possible because church starts tonight at 7 with Dr. Larry Brown. Boy what an evening we are going have.
Our service was wonderful last night. We had a young man from Ambassador who played the piano and it was absolutely beautiful. He played 2 songs. One was, My Anchor Holds and then he played, It Is Well With My Soul.
If you go to Kristi's blog she has it taped and you will really get a blessing out of it.
Love all of you and please keep praying for me as I try to eat the correct foods for my body.

Hello,
Well this is the third day of my diet.
I have just got up and have a slight headake.
It looks as though it will rain out today. The next few days will be interesting to watch the weather and see what it will bring due to Ike.
Yesterday was a good day for doing what I should do and eating what I should eat.
Breakfast was Cereal and toast.
Lunch was a Chicken Salad and it was wonderful.
Dinner was great. I fixed a Chicken Pot Pie and it too was delicious.
For a snack I had 3 TBL. of dried fruite.
That was it except for about 80 ounces of water.
Well, continue to pray for me. Without God's help and your prayers and my commintment to do right, it will all go wrong.
Love to all,
Maw Maw Birt

Hello

Hello to all my wonderful friends,
I am getting ready to head off to bed and thank God for a day of peace.
I thought I would like to tell you how my day started.
I woke up at 4:55 and said bye to Larry as he headed out for his dialysis.
Then I let Dolly out and of course we went back to bed after that.
I woke up at 8:00 and made a pot of coffee then took my Bible and sat on the porch and had my devotions.
After that I came into the house and for Breakfast.
I had 1/2 cup of granola with 2% milk.
For lunch I had 2 cabbage rools, a slice of sourdough bread with a little margarine on it.
During this time I had drank 32 oz. of water and then I drank 32 more ounces between that time and 5:00.
For dinner I had a stuffed pepper, brown whole grain rice and 1/2 cup peas with 2 more glasses of water.
I had one snack today about 3:00. 3 Tablespoons of dried fruite.
I am not treating myself to a glass of diet coke.
I will not tell you how much I weigh but it is the most I have weighed in my 60 years. I am so ashamed.
I will try not to look back just ahead.
Please pray for me as this is not an easy road to travel.
Well, I am off to bed.
Hope you have a good nights rest and I will be getting in touch with you guys tomorrow night about the same time.
Please visit me and send me words of encouragement for each day.
Love you,
Maw Maw Birt

Hello to all my friends

Is not this the sweetest hug. This is the way larry and i hug each other.

We have too. We are both big bears. :} :}

We have had a great day today.

Really it started out yesterday when I cooked Pinto's, Cabbage Rolls, fresh corn bread and country steak.

I called a friend of ours in the church to see if she would like to have some for dinner today and she said yes.

Well, I fixed her pinto's, cabbage rolls, corn bread and dessert.

We took it to her about 1 today and visited with her for a little while then Larry took me to Mountainview Rest. for a late lunch.

I got 2 vegetables, Squash and then Squash and liver and onions with 1 slice of corn bread. Man was it good.

Since my eating program starts on Monday Larry took me over to a little place in Kings Mountain and bought me a fat free, sugar free extra think Tony's Milkshake. Boy was it good.

Now this is really the last time I am going to do that. I told him to behave as I can resist anything but temptation. :{ :{

He has promised to behave from here on out. Since most of you know Larry do you think he will keep his promise.

If not this is what he will look like in a few days.

Well, I hope all of you will have a wonderful week-end and will be seeing you at church Sunday morning.

Love to all,
